Practical Image and Video Processing Using MATLAB

This is a very thorough book for beginners to MATLAB. Great tutorials and break up of chapters.

This book starts out with a nice basic introduction, perhaps a little too basic for me, but nonetheless it began to provide many valuable examples and tutorial on basic image processing techniques. I had to learn image processing to develop my own algorithm for object tracking and recognition, with the help of this book I was able to take a combination of a half dozen or so separate approaches to develop my own approach for my specific application.

I am mechanical engineering major master student and need to learn image processing by myself because of research purpose. This book is definitely amazing useful.
