The origin tale of Ian Cormac in the Polity Universe, from a time soon after the Prador war. Sci Fi-Horror at its best.

After reading some of Cormac's novels I found this book quite interesting. It describes the beginning of our future James Bond going back when he was an eight year old boy and it switches back and forth to when he began in ECS.

There aren't many authors in my library with the distinction of having been read a dozen different times through a dozen different novels. This accolade is given to such timeless authors as Poul Anderson (16), Iain Banks (17), Greg Bear (20), John Brunner (21), Larry Niven (20), Frederik Pohl (15), Alastair Reynolds (12), and James White (13)...
